Embracing Change
Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven." The Prison Fellowship Michigan office has gone through many changes in our fiscal year, including new staff and a change in leadership. I am excited to share that as of May 19, I assumed the position of Executive Director. I am extremely delighted to have the privilege of leading an extraoridinary group of volunteers and supporters, like you and the talked Michigan staff team...

Who’s in Your Circle?
“Who’s in your circle?” the telecommunication ads ask. “Choose up to 20 of your most frequently called numbers to be a part your circle!” I am thankful that we are all invited to be a part of the “circle” of Jesus Christ. He does not set a limit. In fact, Matthew 11:28 says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Come all, not just 5, 10 or 20—but ALL!

A Journey with God
All of us are on a personal journey of life. One of the most difficult parts of my journey began on October 3, 1982, as I left my wife and two young daughters and headed to the federal penitentiary in Terra Haute, Indiana, to begin a multiple-year sentence. But the Lord walked us through that time, just as He promises when we turn control of our lives over to Him. A Future and a Hope

Record-breaking numbers of those in their teens to mid-twenties are seeking ways to get involved in their communities and schools. According to a 2006 USA Today report, 61% of 13 to 25 year olds fell "personally responsible for making a difference in the world."

What Are You Saving Your Life For?
Boundaries have benefits, especially in guarding a faithful walk with Jesus Christ from temptation. But sometimes we impose boundaries on our lives that actually limit our exposure to people who need us most. In an attempt to guard our sense of security, we fail to respond to the call of the Kingdom.

Getting Out of the Box
When my son John was a toddler, his favorite animated film was a story about some dinosaurs and their challenge to survive. For me, the most memeorable scene showed the reaction of an overprotective dinosaur father who broke up a friendship between his daughter and antoehr dinosaur species. "Three horns don't play with long necks!" the dad argued. Little did he know that this very alliance would one day preserve his daughter's life. In subsequent years, our family recited this phrase whenever a situation required courage for out-of-the-box thinking and action.

God Rebuilds with Broken Stones!
A new, cutting-edge movement is unfolding among Christian believers across the state of Michigan. This movement is quiet but steady; humble yet powerful. At times this movement may seem hidden within church calendars and could even be viewed as “underground.” All the same, this movement may well prove to be the most powerful movement to ever hit the streets of Michigan. I am referring to the movement of obedient believers who dare to combine action with the faith that God can transform a life and make it new!
